* Covid-19 Club Operations Update*

The Employees and Board Members of Spanish Wells Club are taking your Health and Safety Seriously and have taken many precautionary steps to ensure the safety of all Members and Staff.

  • Please follow safe hygiene and wash your hands before and after Tennis and Golf play. Follow /CDC guidelines and maintain 6' distances from everyone.

  • Unfortunately due to the recent Governor Declaration, the Pool Deck and Pool are Closed until Further Notice. The Bathrooms will remain open in the Pool Area.

  • Rakes have been removed. Use either your foot and or club to smooth out the sand after each shot. Do NOT tend the flag or remove it as there are foam inserts in the hole to stop your ball from going too far into the hole.

  • Tennis Courts to remain open as well. Tennis Players should mark their Tennis balls and not share.

  • Club Carts are available but only single riders and must be disinfected before and after each use. Pull Carts also should be disinfected between use. Private Carts need to be single riders as well.

As a precautionary step the Club has sprayed "Nano-Shield Anti-Microbial System" on all Club Furniture, Clubhouse, Dock and Dock Railings, Outside Patio Furniture, Tennis Court Love Shack and Furniture, Flag Sticks, Golf Carts and Pull Carts.

This spraying process Kills the following Viruses in Ten Minute upon treatment: Human Coronavirus, Avian Influenza, Hepatitis B Virus, Herpes Simplex Type 1 and 2 Virus, Human Immunodeficiency Virus, Type 1(HIV-1), H1N1 Virus, Influenza A2/ Hong Kong Virus, Influenza A2/J305 Virus, Norovirus, Vaccinia Virus and Inhibits the Growth of the following Bacteria: Staph, MRSA, E-Coli, C-Diff, Pneumonia.

Thank You for your continued patience and support.

As a Friendly reminder we are closed on the first Monday of every month. This month we will be closed on Monday, May 4th.

Greetings!

The greens are in good shape. We made our Spring Fungicide application last month to help prevent any diseases that might occur with the warmer temps.

To help prevent the spread of Caronavirus, we have removed all rakes from the bunkers.

The pool is closed for preventive health reasons. We will use this time to trim and spray weeds.

In May we will continue working on some clubhouse landscaping.

Golfers: Remember when using the driving range to hit from the green markers. This is to control the divots on the rest of the Driving Range

Thanks for your cooperation and support,

Gregg Baxter, Superintendent

Greetings!

The greens are in good shape. We will be spraying them during the first week of February.

We sprayed half of the fairways in late January, and will finish the rest of the fairways during the first week of February. We are just trying to get ahead of the weeds this Spring. In addition, we will be edging all sprinkler heads this month.

The pool area is currently okay. Later this month we will do some trimming and cleaning.

We will continue to work on Clubhouse landscaping.
