Coach Glenn’s tip of the month:

How to improve your game instantly

Add a step, a split step. A split step occurs after you hit the ball and prior to hitting a ball when the opponent hits the ball from the other side of Court. Make sure it's on your toes if you split step and land on your heels, it didn't do anything for you if you're up on your toes , it allows you to move left right and back and forward more quickly and it gets physically mentally stimulated to address the point.

What's happening in June!

Thursday June 20th- Ladies Round Robin from 10:00-12:00 with info to come!

Saturday June 29th- Wimbledon at Spanish Wells 10:00-1:00 with info to come!

Coach Hannah's helpful tips:
Remember that YOU are in control of how you play, not your opponent. Play the ball. Be free in your head. Enjoy the game.

Coach Glenn’s tip of the month: Eyes on the ball, utilize your resources and don’t abandon the help.  Utilize your resources by using your left and right hand to help rotate the shoulders and bring the racket back in unison together. Don’t let go of both hands until you make a full shoulder rotation back so as not to abandon the help. Every inch you rotate the shoulders back and then forward you can generate up to six more miles an hour per inch of rotation and it also gives you three more inches of distance and travel through the ball. If you let go early, this process falls short of its potential.

Youth Summer Clinics

Tiny Tots and Orange ball will be every Monday and Wednesday and Green ball and Yellow ball will be every Tuesday and Thursday! Times are listed below! Clinics start on Monday June 3rd and end Thursday August 8th!

Tiny Tots: Monday and Wednesday, 2:30-3:00, ages 3-5

  • Cost will be $15 for members, and $18 for non-members.

Orange ball: Monday and Wednesday, 3:00-4:00, ages 6-8

  • In this group, we will continue to develop the ABC's mentioned above while learning stroke development, movement, directing and placing the ball, developing understanding of the court, keeping score, etc.

  • Cost will be $22 for members and $26 for non-members

Green ball: Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-3:30, ages 8-10

  • In this group, we will continue to develop all mentioned above and learn to keep the ball going in a consistent rally as well as learn match play.

  • Cost will be $22 for members and $26 for non-members

Yellow ball: Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30-4:30, ages 10-12

  • In this group, we will continue to develop strokes, rally, match play, strategy, tactics, etc.

We highly encourage you to schedule a private lesson or 2 with us so that we can help you to make the decision as to which group will be best for your child. These groups are designed to be great fun all while learning to play a sport that is for a lifetime!
