The Superintendent
Greetings SWC,
Aerification went well, and the Greens, Tees, and Fairways are recovering well.
We expect the Greens to recover fully in 2-3 Weeks.
We will be doing Tree root pruning throughout June on Tees and Fairways.
Please Sand all divots with the sand provided on the cart and repair all ball marks left on the green.
Thanks for your cooperation and support,
Gregg Baxter

Coach Hannah's helpful tips:
Remember that YOU are in control of how you play, not your opponent. Play the ball. Be free in your head. Enjoy the game.
Coach Glenn’s tip of the month: Eyes on the ball, utilize your resources and don’t abandon the help. Utilize your resources by using your left and right hand to help rotate the shoulders and bring the racket back in unison together. Don’t let go of both hands until you make a full shoulder rotation back so as not to abandon the help. Every inch you rotate the shoulders back and then forward you can generate up to six more miles an hour per inch of rotation and it also gives you three more inches of distance and travel through the ball. If you let go early, this process falls short of its potential.
Youth Summer Clinics

Green ball: Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-3:30, ages 8-10
In this group, we will continue to develop all mentioned above and learn to keep the ball going in a consistent rally as well as learn match play.
Cost will be $22 for members and $26 for non-members
Yellow ball: Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30-4:30, ages 10-12
In this group, we will continue to develop strokes, rally, match play, strategy, tactics, etc.

Please note that we have a very soft emphasis on the ages listed with each ball. The group they will participate in will also be based upon ability and skill level. We highly encourage you to schedule a private lesson or 2 with us so that we can help you to make the decision as to which group will be best for your child. These groups are designed to be great fun all while learning to play a sport that is for a lifetime!
Please email Coach Hannah if you have any questions at tenniswithhannah@gmail.com and RSVP on Clubster if you would like for your child(ren) to participate!
